X50 in 2026 — what's new
In 2026, the X50 range comprises Executive, Premium and Flagship forms, joined by the RM102,299 Sport Edition. The Sport Edition is Flagship-based and brings a full-black treatment, bodykit and red accents. It follows the 2025 facelift’s redesigned head- and tail-lamps, larger lower grille and revised body panels; the Flagship also gets a large rear spoiler.
Which variant to buy
Start with the RM89,800 Executive: it shares the 1,499 cc 178 hp petrol engine, front-wheel drive, wet dual-clutch automatic and five-seat layout with the other two regular X50 variants. The Premium costs RM101,800, a RM12,000 step, while the Flagship is RM113,300, another RM11,500. On the stated mechanical specification, neither upgrade buys extra power or different driveline hardware. Pay more only once the equipment list supplies features you will use.
Verdict
The X50’s 2025 update goes well beyond lamps and trim, bringing revised sheetmetal, a new grille treatment and a new engine while retaining the compact B-segment SUV format. Sales passed 10,000 units soon after launch. The entry price is RM1,000 above the Chery Tiggo Cross but RM5,100 below the Honda WR-V. With identical 178 hp powertrains across the regular versions, equipment decides the purchase.
